The Viper V2: Upgraded for Enhanced Performance

Off-Grid has meticulously incorporated customer feedback, ideas, and opinions into the newest iteration of the Viper V2. The Viper V1 was a resounding success, and it was time for a comprehensive overhaul of upgrades.

Firstly, the steel has been upgraded to Crucible 154CM (HRC 61), which offers superior edge retention, corrosion resistance, and toughness, while maintaining ease of sharpening. The overall build has been enhanced with increased size and heft, yet the DNA of the V1 remains, resulting in a more formidable Viper.

The blade's shape has been refined, transitioning from a tanto to a sheepsfoot tanto, with a centered and sharp pointed tip for exceptional piercing ability. The tanto angles have also been sharpened, improving the slicing performance.

One of the standout features is the meticulous attention paid to the spine. The signature cutouts have been retained, and jimping has been added on top of these cutouts, extending three-quarters of the spine. This ingenious design provides an incredible texture for your thumb, ensuring a secure, non-slip grip during hard-use tasks or detailed cutting.

The G10 scales have been upgraded with a milled crosshatch pattern and contoured chamfering, offering comfortable ergonomics for hands of all sizes. The Viper V2 is a borderline XL knife, with a 3.75-inch blade and a roomy 4-inch grip.

To enhance the carry experience, a deep carry clip secured by three Torx screws has been added, allowing for left or right-handed carry options. A G10 filler has been included on the non-clip side, maintaining a smooth and flush appearance.

The 3.75-inch blade features a tumbled DLC Graywash finish, with a 4mm thick 154CM blade stock. The blade rides on ceramic bearings, providing a smooth, snappy deployment and a satisfying drop-shut action.
